A hypothesis about the persistence of the soul

I have a hypothesis about persistence of the soul, which assumes that souls could exist in different time frames, simultaneously.

This is based on the following assumptions:

  1. Souls exist,
  2. They are bound to the known laws of physics,
  3. They represent consciousness of the relevant person,
  4. They are massless (or almost so), (like some Boson particles).

Just like a photon (as an example of a massless particle), the soul being massless (or so close to being so) makes it able to travel very fast, and effectively hang in time. They appear suspended to an external observer, and thus go across our years without them being affected by the passage of time. This means that they can exist across generations, but they’d also be watching the events of our lives go by very quickly…

Some models in particle physics propose that all the light in the universe could be just a single photon going back and forth, interacting with everything. The explanation is a little complicated for the average person, but this is the basis of my hypothesis. If souls were “creatures of light”, as some scriptures suggest, they might all be around us, watching our lives go by.

This little post is a tribute to the dear people being missed on the anniversary of Father’s Day.
It helps to hope that they’re still with us some how.
